Leg stuck in crib :(

So today when I went to pick John up from his nap, I saw he was standing on his breathable bumper.  It collapses so it didn't give him that much height, but DH and I decided to take it out anyway.  Well he'd been down for about 45 minutes when all the sudden he started crying.  I went in there to see what the problem was and his leg was stuck in the crib!  I couldn't get it out, either.  Every time I tried to lift it out of the slat, he would scream bloody murder.  Finally, I just moved like I was going to pick him up and he must have relaxed it enough that it just came out.  Poor baby!  Now he won't go back down...

I seriously was having visions of taking the crib apart to get him out (well, more like breaking it apart, but you know what I mean).

That happened to one of my friends and she swears she sprayed her lo's leg with cooking spray and it worked like a charm.

I had this happen the other day! I had laid Avery down, and he started SCREAMING a few minutes later...I ran upstairs and sure enough, his little leg was stuck. I was starting to worry because it took my several attempts to get it out.

DH wants to take the bumpers out of Griffs crib but this is why I don't want to!  Hope your LO isn't too traumatized!!

This happend to us, too! And like OP, we couldn't get Elliott's leg out of the slats until he relaxed. I felt awful... he was screaming SO loud =(

OMG I would have freaked out! I was imaging the whole cutting into the slats of the crib too. Hope his leg isn't sore from it

This happened many many times with Hayden. We ended up taking a regular crib bumper and weaved it in and out of the bars. It worked great, no more legs got stuck
