never stripped diapers, rash?

DD has a diaper rash, it is from being in a poopy diaper too long so it is just a regular rash.  

I have her in disposables right now with cream on and it is almost cleared up.

 I use flips and some BG for night time.  Do I need to strip her diapers?  I have never done anything but washes in Tiny Bubbles.  How do I strip them?  And what about disinfecting?

I have never stripped a diaper if I know what caused the rash (usually in my case it's waking up with a messy diaper).

I thought people only stripped if they thought it was a detergent/buildup issue/yeast issue, none of which you have.

that is what i thought too.  You only need to sanitize after a yeast infection

There's no need to strip or disinfect unless you have a problem - like pp said, detergent build up, mineral build up, unsafe diaper cream, yeast.

If you want to, you can do a wash with blue dawn, but there's really no need if your diapers are performing well. Similarly, you can add 1/4 cup bleach to the bleach dispenser if you want to disinfect, but there's really no need. You know what the rash is from.

Was your LO's bottom red right after you changed a poopy diaper? If it was it could just be the poop. DD's bottom is always a little red after a poop regardless of how quickly we change her.
