Just wondering if any of you gals have used acupuncture late in pregnancy to "prepare" your body for labor. I'm not sure I believe what they say but I went in yesterday. The acupuncturist said that doing this late in pregnancy can help with dilation and effacement. Has it worked for any of you out there? My next appointment is on Tuesday so I guess I'll find out then.

Re: Acupuncture at 38wks
I did it with my first; I'm not sure it helped, but maybe labor would've been worse without it ... who knows. But I enjoyed it because it gave me the feeling that I was doing something productive for labor.
Something else you can do is drink raspberry leaf tea ... it's supposed to soften your cervix. At least that's what they say here in Germany. It tastes like complete ass, but again: It gave me the feeling that I was doing something productive.
