Hello!
I hope you do not mind me dropping by your board.
I am going through my first IVF, and I am losing hope quickly.
My 5-day transfer was on Sunday, and today they had me leave bedrest for an estrogen and progesterone test. They called me this evening to say my estrogen is fine, but they are going to have to double my progesterone. I will go from 1 cc injection 1/day to 1cc injection 2/day.
Did anyone else have a similar experience and still a BFP?
I also had some sharp uterus pains last night, so I am just feeling pretty worried and down.
Thank you in advance...and I hope its OK I posted a question here.
Re: Newbie Doing First IVF: Progesterone Question
Of course you are welcome to post here.
Unfortunately, I can't answer your Q as I was on suppositories so my progesterone wasn't monitored (can't detect progesterone levels in your blood from suppositories). I hope some of the ladies on here who have been on PIO can provide you with some positive outcomes...
GL in the 2ww.
GL! I didn't have this without progesterone, but I had to up my estrogen four days after my transfer!
Hi!
They increased my PIO from 1cc to 1.5cc, once a day. I think it was about 3 about days past ET they increased the dosage. My estrogen dose has stayed the same.
Still pregnant and we go in for our first U/S on Monday. Still on 1.5cc of Progesterone and they are not testing again until after the U/S.
I've had many uterus pains, but I think it is mainly gas that is pushing on the ute or ovaries (which were enlarged and painful for a while). Hope that's what it is for you!
Good luck during your 2WW.... longest one ever, huh?
PAIF and SAIF welcome. IVF questions welcome, too.

I also had a 5dt, but my experience was a little different. They increased me from 1cc of PIO to 1.5cc 3 days past my ER and then added 1 Crinone daily the day of my ET. They are going to be extra cautious, which is good. Try not to feel down about it!

I've heard of plenty of ladies with low progesterone who had to have their progesterone increased going on to get BFP's and have successful pregnancies.
Also, I think cramping/ute pains are quite common. I had an IUI and felt cramping quite a bit during the 2 ww...never had before. It was my bfp cycle and I think it was the baby getting settled in.

Thank you ladies so much for your posts. I am trying to stay positive. I just get worried over every little thing...seems crazy those microscopic little embryos could turn into a BABY or two. Don't want to get my hopes up, yet don't want to be negative. Thank you again!
