Anyone have a negative blood test 7DP5DT of an FET cycle and still end up with a BFP???

I had a FET of two 5-day blasts on 2/14/12. My progesterone was low the day of transfer so they increased my progesterone and had me come back in 3 days later (on 2/17/12) for a blood test to check my levels and everything looked good. No HCG levels indicated but they said it was too early.

I went back in on 2/21/12 for a blood test, 7 days after the transfer, and they said everything looked good. I asked if there were any HCG traces and she said no and that was normal. However, this was a new girl I spoke to and I don't necessarily trust her "that is normal". When I spoke to a nurse last Friday she thought we would see something in my 2/21 blood test. The lab tech that took my blood thought we would see something.

Do you think there still might be a chance of pregnancy?

I am going back in on Friday for another blood test but I am driving myself crazy. I have already had two fresh cycles and this is my second frozen cycle. I have one frozen blast left (if it survives the thaw) and then we will have reached the end of the road.

  • You might have more success on SAIF... many of us are still trying and haven't been successful at staying pregnant or getting pregnant.

Some people have BFPs sooner and some later. You might want to check www.betabase.info

In my experience I had positive betas both times by that point, but they were only 5 or 6 and unfortunately though they rose it wasn't enough.

    Good luck!

  • Thanks!  I will try SAIF.  I also had HCG in my blood for IVF #1 (miscarried at 9 weeks) & #3 (miscarried at 4 weeks) by my 7DP5DT.  IVF #2 never took.  I am praying and looking for anyone who might have crossed this path before.
