so i went into the hospital yesterday for this excruciating pain across my entire stomach. it was a burning and stinging all at once across my whole stomach. not one part of it didn't hurt. i called them and they told me to come in. they monitored the baby, did an ultrasound, and checked my cervix. the baby is fine, which was really all i NEEDED to know but i would have liked to know what caused the pain. basically by the time i left, they said they have no idea what the burning and stinging is, gave me anti-nausea medication and made me eat something, and sent me home. has anyone else felt this? it had me feeling like crippled and screaming in pain. i felt nauseous and it kept coming back. any ideas?

Re: hospital had no answers...
Severe constipation? I had some HORRIBLE pains around 20 weeks that I thought were my stomach, but my OB explained were just a hard poo making its way through my system.
You can be constipated even if you are going #2?
You should make sure it is not a bowel blockage or your gallbladder. I have bowel blockage problems (b/c of scar tissue build up) and I had problems in my 7th month b/c of the baby growing she was pressing up against the scar tissue (so painful!!).
I had some severe pain the middle of the night once and chalk it up to baby laying weird on a nerve. Hasn't happened since.
Maybe you had some really bad Braxton Hicks contractions??
