Newborn vs small covers

I have 2 big boxes of newborn sposies and a big box of size 1. I plan on using these for the first few weeks. I also have a huge stash of OS pockets I will switch to once baby fits into them. 

My question is, I was going to get a few cheap covers/prefolds to use after our sposies are gone, but before she fits into OS. Would you get newborn (6-10lbs) or small (9-14lbs) covers? I'm looking at the prowraps brand since they are cheap ($8 on amazon) and I've spent enough on my OS stash.

I'd go straight to small.  I actually have several small and medium prowraps that are brand new if you decide to go that way!  I'd sell them for much less than $8.  PM me!

If you have all those sposies, I'd go straight to the smalls. My smalls did not fit until 2 weeks or so, so if using cloth from the get go is important to you I would get more newborn.
