How do I keep him from pooping?

We're getting Nolan's newborn portraits done tomorrow and I'm super paranoid that he is going to poop all over the studio. I swear, this kid can go. I love the little bare butt pictures, but how can I keep this from becoming a huge mess? Obviously I can't keep him from pooping, I just didn't know if there were any tips.

Re: How do I keep him from pooping?

  • Rest assured that if he does it's not a big deal- just some whipping and disinfecting and it's go time! I promise- he won't be the first or last child to have a blow out at the studio if he does! :)

  • I just wouldn't worry too much about it...DD pooped all over me during her newborn pics. We just got cleaned off and then kept taking pics. The photographer is definitely used to it!

After 2 1/2 years TTC, 3 IUI's, endo, and a lap, a surprise BFP brought us Alexandra Marie!

  • You don't :). Clean it up and move on.  Both kids peed but somehow we escaped poops.

  • If your photographer has ever shot any newborn pics in the past, then he/she should be knowledgeable enough to know that sometimes "*** happens" ;) Seriously, photographers know babies poop and I don't think you should worry about it. You really can't know when it will happen.

I assume you mean 'wiping?' Whipping seems a bit harsh ;)
  • One of the first things my photographer said was "don't worry if he pees or poos, everything is washable." obviously it happens all the time! FWIW my baby peed twice and pooped once!

  • Sounds good! I won't worry about it. Our photographer is awesome so I'm sure it won't be a big deal. I just over think things.

hahah I was thinking the same thing!!

Our photograher brought a pillow-thing that was waterproof, so it didnt really matter what happened to it. Thankfully, too, bc dd peed on it!
