3rd Trimester

Anyone tried Latisse?

(Did I even spell that correctly??) Anyhow, I am hoping to try it once LO is here...not going to experiment now:) My eyelashes are so pale, short and sparse...and I am sure I could use a little pampering/something special to amke me feel pretty once LO arrives. Any experiences with it?

Re: Anyone tried Latisse?

  • Haven't tried it, but I have some that my SIL gave me because she got it from her salon. I opted to not use it because there are some pretty gnarly potential side effects that I don't want to mess with (ie: possible permanent eye staining). I'd rather invest in some really good mascara or if you want to be more spendy, getting eyelash extensions that don't carry those risks.

If you plan on using it, I'd talk to your doctor first and make a good informed decision.

  • I asked my eye dr about it and she suggested strongly that I not use it - primarily because I have hazel eyes (mostly green/blue) and there is a decent chance that the Latisse would permanently chang the color of my eyes to brown. I definitely don't want that! I'll stick with my mascara :)

  • Yes and it's awesome! I work in a derm office and get free samples of it. I was using it for awhile before I got pg, mostly around the time of my wedding. It really does work. The incidence of eye pigmentation is extremely low, in fact none of the doctors I work for have ever seen it. Most of my coworkers and many of my patients use it. If you use it safely and apply it just to your upper lid lashes (or eyebrows) and not use it directly in your eye, it is completely safe to use. I can't wait to start using it again.

  • I haven't tried Latisse, but I was using RapidLash before I got pregnant and it worked wonders. It is available without prescription and only cost me around $40.

  • Why don't you try tinting your lashes, if you keep doing it you will get a build up on them and they will look fuller.
  • Hi

I have been using Latisse for about 18 months - it has done wonders for my lashes. I use it about every other day at this point - they actually got too long - wow! I would not use it if you are pregnant. I love this stuff. I get it online from a physician with medical history review - so I save the doctors fees - www.latisse.bz

    Good luck
