Baby Names

Two Questions...

1. If you already had a DD named Olivia, but who went by Livi 99% of the time, would you name a DS Oscar?  Oscar and Olivia, though starting with the same letter, arent too similar are they?

2. If you think Oscar would be fine to use, do you think Oscar James sounds nice?

TIA!

Any suggestions? DH and I are tossing around the name Oscar, but having a really hard time with middle names.

  • Not a fan of Oscar. I think of Oscar the grouch.   James Oscar is better IMO

  • 1. Yes. Aside from the O, they are very different names.

    2. I think Oscar James both sounds and looks nice, although I do find James to be kind of a filler middle name for boys. I love Oscar!

True, but it's also my dad name ;)

  • They may both start with an O but they don't have the same sound at all, so I don't think it's a big deal. If you plan on having more kids and naming them all O names, that could be weird but I wouldn't think anything of two kids with the same letter.

Oscar James is a nice name so go for it.

We also have a DS named Sawyer, so it's too late for an 'O' theme (thank goodness) :)
