Hello All I started my stim injections today and am really excited to say....it wasn't awful. I really thought I wouldn't be able to give myself the injections instead i pinched an inch and darted the sucker in, lol. So far I am on Follistim 300iu daily and HCG low dose 10 units. Daily monitoring starts Monday! Anybody know how I'm going to feel after a few days of these hormones?

SAIF/PAIF Welcome
let me tell you, that noone is a bigger baby when it comes to needles than me. seriously. i had panic attacks just thinking about it. i almost didn't do ivf at all because i was so afraid of all the needles. that being said...
it really isn't that bad. there were days i was taking 4 shots a night, and i was okay. not great, mind you, but okay. toward the end i wouldn't even flinch. you have no idea what an improvement that is. now i am confident i can handle needles. so i guess that's something.
after a few days you may start to feel some discomfort, mostly like a full feeling. it's not really actual pain, though, so don't worry. you'll be okay.
congratulations on being so brave so far. you deserve a treat for sure. gl on the rest of your cycle. just take it a day at a time.
Hi!
I also started stimmng today (Bravelle and Menopur) and it wasn't as bad as I thought. A little stinging while injecting, but nothing major.
Congratulations on being so brave, we did it!
