Overwhelmed

I was driving by a school at lunch today and saw a group of boys playing basketball on the playground.  And I had to pull the car over because I got completely choked up and overwhelmed that someday in the not-so-distant future that will be B.

Somebody hold me!

    awww!!! I've totally had those moments too. The last I was watching a movie or tv show and the son was getting married and getting ready for the mother/son dance and I totally choked up thinking that could be us......many  many years down the line.  I figured it was pregnancy hormones, but maybe not.  These little boys have definitely got us wrapped around their little fingers.

    I can't remember what blog I was reading, but they had a reference to some sort of art in a little boy's room that said "someday I'll be someone's knight in shining armor".  Totally cheesy, but nonetheless it made me tear up.  And don't even get me started about the idea of mother-son wedding dances....

    It's funny, because sometimes I look at a brown haired, blue-eyed teenage boy and wonder if DS will look like him at that age.  In fact, I was walking behind 3 teenage boys the other day and the first thing I thought was, "DS had better not walk around with his a$$ hanging out like that!"  Ha!   Hopefully that fad will be long gone by then.
