Intro & question on AMH

Hi ladies! I have been lurking for a little while.  Well I am 36 and DH is 33. I recently had my AMH tested and it was .5.  Does anyone know how fast it declines? Is there an average per year? Has anyone had it tested twice?

    Welcome!! Mine was .7 in Jan, 2011, .62 I'm Feb, .62 in August, and then down to .47 in November. I'm 34.
    2/11 Diagnosis: DOR-AMH .62, LPD and MFI-4% Morph
    IVF #1-July 2011 7/9/11-Started Stims
    7/20/11-ER:No eggs in 4/5 follicles. Left the 5th follie intact and converted to an IUI
    8/3/11-Beta #1=BFN,
    Nov, 2011 BFP #1=m/c at 7 wks 3 days
    11/11-AMH .47, IVF #2 March 2012...or not!! Surprise BFP on 2/19. Beta #1=161. Beta #2 305 Our little miracle girl is on her way! Due Oct 29, 2012

    Mine dropped from 0.92 in Jan 11 to 0.3 in Oct 11. I am 38 but 37 when first tested. Your AFC is more important to how you will respond to drugs. If your FSH and AFC are ok, you may respond just find to stims.

    Mine tested .1 the first time, had surgery to remove endo and it jumped up to .2.   It's been holding steady at a dismal .16 for the past two years.  
    TTC #1 since 9/07
    Dx MFI, AMA, Endo, AMH .16
    Lap 10/09 Removed endometrioma, stage IV endo and adhesions
    Lap 2/10 Endometrioma cysts & adhesions returned.
    Ivf #1 4/10 Antagonist, ET Cancelled.
    IVF #2 2/11 A/ACP+E2V C/P
    IVF #3 6/11 Letrozole/Antagonist BFN
    IVF #4 11/11 Low stim Antagonist BFN
    Lap 3/12 Lap & Selective HSG
    Many cycles of Letrozole and LP HCG w/TI and LDN

    At this point, it really doesn't matter much for you how quickly AMH declines--yours is under 1, and that is not good.  OP is right, though--AFC is much more important as an indicator.  Age is important too; at 36, you may still have a decent chance of conceiving, as you may have good egg quality.

    But be prepared to hear that you need to consider donor eggs to have a third child.  Its very painful to hear, and its taken me about six months to come to terms with it, but its my best chance to have a child (my AMH is .67, but egg quality is also an issue for me.)
