Hey all... It's been a long time since I posted , but I wanted to get some feedback on my situation.
K, so I went in for my GSB test and asked my OB To do an internal. I'm 1cm and she felt something that made her want to do a quick US. Well, we're breech. Then she wanted to go ahead and do the NST test for the week which apparently made her say "are you feeling these contractions?" no... I wasn't . I felt one. I've been feeling what I guess are contractions that I dismissed as BH off and on. Last night I the shower there were two pretty painful ones.
So, Monday I'm supposed to go in for a full growth scan to see if turning the baby is possible. If so, then I go in on Wednesday.
my question is, do you guys think I'm gonna go early? Something tells me I am, especially after than NST...but I don't know.
thoughts?
Re: 36 1/2 weeks... Just found out baby is breech. Kinda long.
No idea if you are going to go early or not, but my OB just told me today they don't even get concerned about baby being breech until 37w (which you almost are)...but that at that point there is still room for baby to move, it's not impossible. (Of course this is my OB...all Dr's are different/have different opinions).
My LO is still lounging hammock style...(transverse)
so we're waiting for him to make his decision on head down or breech!

Congrats to my Labor Buddy LoriJ11, baby Elise born 2/24/12
we talked about breech babies last night at my birth prep class. the instructor/doula suggested the website spinningbabies.com and explained how these positions can help move the baby.
i'd also call a chiropractor who specializes in this and see if they can help you.
I'm not sure if you'll go early but hopefully you can turn your baby
Yeah she wasn't real hopeful that the baby would turn on her own.
All I know now is my right lower side is killing me. Lol. Oh the drama!

Happily expecting Baby Mac #2 around 4/13/14
This is my second breech baby. And I've done EVERYTHING to try to turn this baby except for the external cephalic version. I'm not a candidate because I had a c-section before. There seem to be quite a few people here who had successful versions. The thing is though, if you are dilated and contracting, your doctor may not let you try it. That was the case with me when I was pregnant with my son.
There is always a chance for your baby to turn. I was a breech baby until the day my mother went into labor. IF your baby doesn't turn, and you have to have a c-section, I just wanted to say that my c-section experience was wonderful:) Good luck to you and your baby!
Proud mother of two breech babies:)
I was breech at my 34 week appointment and he flipped back by my 36 week appointment. Try the moves on spinning babies - lots of yoga cat/cows.
Contractions at this point do not indicate that you'll go early. They're pretty standard. From my understanding, breech babies tend to be later, just because they still need to flip, they aren't pushing on the cervix to help it ripen, etc.
Good luck!
