I asked opinions on the bunmbleride indie twin and many ppl who wrote in the post mentioned they recommend the BJ City Select stroller. Just wondering what everyone loves about it?? just getting more info before purchasing another stroller because we already have a single stroller that we bough for DS
Re: BJ City Select stroller
tandem, all the seat configurations, huge basket, can be a single or double, one of the lightest weight full doubles, locking front wheels for power walks, compact (for a double) when folded, seat pop on and off in seconds.
DS1 is almost 4 and I still use it a lot. FWIW, the bumbleride was my 2nd choice. It has great maneuvering and a lot of kids like being next to each other.
I think I replied to a post very similar yesterday. I went to buy buy baby almost 10x to compare these two.
What was the deciding factor for me was DD was starting to resist the stroller and I didn't want to pull out this huge side-by-side stroller for one kid. The side by side also didn't fit down the aisles but did turn on a dime.
Overall I got the city select because I could use it as a single, double, or we got a glider board so I could have it as a single with a DD standing on the back. I have even used it as a triple stroller with a 3rd kid (my 4 year old nephew) on the glider board and DD &DS in the seats.
I do love the seat configurations and my kids love to face each other. DD and DS play with one another and keep each other entertained as I am shopping.
I use my stroller every day but if you are just going to use a double stroller for small walks, amusement parks, or every now and then the side by side is great. I wish I could own both but they are so expensive DH would be beyond mad.
For me, it's that it's narrow and nimble for a tandem, which is perfect for my Target and grocery shopping lifestyle. I use a stroller everywhere and the BJCS is my everyday stroller. I also liked that it could be a single in case we just took one twin out, but, that has never happened.
The Bumbleride is an awesome stroller but it's a lot heavier. I have a City Series as my all-terrain/jogging stroller and I'd hate to get something like that in/out of the SUV for every trip to Target.
I also have a lightweight SBS (Combi) for quick trips when I don't feel like setting up the Select and won't need to use the basket.
