We are going to take DS to the zoo this summer and want to make it a weekend trip. Can anyone recommend a nice outdoor pool/water park for a two year old? If it was in the same vicinity as the zoo it would be a plus it doesn't have to be. Thanks!

    I know my parents were going to take us kids and the grand kids to Blue Harbor in Sheboygan. Not really sure what's all there though! They've been meaning to do this for the past three years, but every year there is another baby born. Are you from the milwaukee area?

    My parents live in West Bend, and when we visited last summer, they took us to Regner Park, which is also in West Bend. There's a really nice man-made pond with a beach and a splash pad. Also swings, slide, etc. DD had just turned one, and she loved it.

    We went to the zoo during the same visit - not on the same day, though.  But I'd say the two are maybe half hour apart.

    Thanks! I'm not from the Milwaukee area. I'm from central WI and know very little about the Milwaukee area.

    West Allis has a community water park called Cool Waters. It's wicked cheap and only 10 minutes from the zoo.
