Sorry not linky. I'm on my iPad.
I had never heard about this until tonight. Until a couple weeks ago this really was G to a T. He would do pretty much exactly as described. He's doing so much better but we are still having some issues. Given this article I am so glad we decided to move forward with the feeding therapy.
Re: Infantile Anorexia?
I've heard of the sensory food aversions, but never this. I'm glad he's doing better! Sounds to me like he's just a smart, busy little guy who has better things to do than eat. Wish I felt like that
I used to work with some feeding therapists back when I was in grad school getting my master's in speech pathology--they are wonderful and I bet you will leave with so much knowledge on how to combat this in the future.
Thanks so much for sharing that, I have never heard of that but it also fits Nathan to a t, I will have to do some research and bring this up to our pedi.
Kellogg - any quick tips you can give away from what you have learned??
Wow! Who would have thought this exsisted! C slowly dropped off the weight chart from 6-12 months, but has been slowly gaining back since then. I think she is very prone to these behaviors (especially when we are not at home), so it is good to know about and be aware of!! Everyone comments on how she "eats like a bird" or "must be watching her figure" because after a few bites she refuses and just wants to socialize. Such good information. Thank you!
Sadly we haven't actually started yet. They just had a spot open up and we'll be starting in three weeks or so. I will be sure to share any tips I get.
I never imagined anything like this could exist either! So crazy.
