2nd Trimester

Pre-natal pill

I was very good about taking my prenatal in my 1st tri but here in the 2nd I haven't been so awesome at taking it. Of course I eat meat and protein but I also eat ice cream and candy. Am I the only one whose slacked off in taking there's?? I feel so guilty. Thanks in advance!

Re: Pre-natal pill

  • You can't do anything about what you have done, (or haven't), in the past, so there is no sense in feeling guilty, but you can change the future.

For me, I just put the bottle on my bathroom counter right by my toothbrush so I remember to take it every night when I am brushing my teeth.

  • I've forgotten to take the morning half and the night half the last couple days (I have the prenatal that you take twice a day). I only missed one of each (and not on the same day), but I still feel like an idiot. I don't feel guilty per se because I am eating lots of fruits and veggies, I just feel more like an idiot because I have them sitting right where I can see them and they're in such an obvious package.

  • Both of my high-risk OBs have said that once you are out of first tri, you get everything you need from your diet.  During first tri, you really only need the prenatals for the folic acid to prevent neural tube defects.

    Dont stress it.

Really?  Mine have said the exact opposite.  I guess it is one of those things that varies by person. (?)
