My pedi ok'd them at one year. I had daycare give her a PB cracker to try at 15 months.....my daycare is literally next door to the fire department/EMTs so I figured she was safer to try it there than at home.
We have no family history of food allergies. I ate pb while pg and while nursing. Our doc recommended introducing it at 15 months. DS now lives off the stuff and all is well.
Grrr. Studies drive me insane! One says eating peanuts during pregnancy reduces allergy risk, another says it increases allergy risk, one says it increases asthma risk. Now they're saying early induction may reduce allergies, but what about the other risks?
?
I'll just resort to the good ol' crossing of the fingers and hoping everything is okay. LOL?
Re: study about peanuts
