HLG- Valentine's "cheats"?

So I scarfed down my Valentine's day binge dinner I had been dreaming about and then felt like total and complete sh!t all night. I had an order of pan-fried dumplings, a gigantic piece of frosted chocolate cake, 2 caramel hearts, a piece of raisin bread (one of my faves) and a big glass of Shiraz. To make it worse I couldn't work out after b/c my *hurt ankle was swollen and sore. Why is food SO SO good?!!?

* I never posted b/c it's been coming and going. Saturday night I fell on ice in our driveway, I was carrying B and didn't want to drop him so I fell kinda sideways and twisted my ankle. It's fine in the morning but by dinner time it hurts to walk. It's super awesome timing with my 2.5wks til a bathing suit workout schedule :(

  • I cheated a bit too. I made dinner, and it wasn't so good. The scallops were rubbery and the asparagus was overcooked. So DH and I ended up eating cereal. Then I had 2 1/2 mini cupcakes.

    Back on track today!

    Sorry to hear about your ankle! Hopefully it is feeling better soon and you can get back to your regularly scheduled workouts!

  • DH ordered chinese, I had some vegetarian dumplings (steamed) and then a bunch of chocolate dipped strawberries (5 maybe?)  and then 4 pieces of Ghiardelli chocolate.  I've been feeling crappy.. I think I need more fresh fruits & veggies.
  • I started the 30 day shred on Monday so I was very good yesterday.  However, I had to get my hair done last night so I wasn't home being tempted by the cookies and chocolate my husband got me.  Hopefully I can resist it again tonight.  I wanted to kill my husband for getting me chocolate since I just started the shred but he said he bought it before I decided to do it.

  • It wasn't cheating - it was complete infidelity to my eating plan. Dinner was a WW recipe, but still high in points. Then there were the 3 cupcakes and Caramello bar that DS gave to me. Add that to the way I've been eating for the last 2 days, and, well, I just feel like a bloated mess. Doing better today, so hopefully I can hold on for the rest of the week, especially since we'll be away for the weekend, and I know I'm not going to be a perfect eater then. Good thing I'll be home next week, so I can get some outside runs in (watch we finally have a blizzard).

    MrsWhite - Oh No! Take it easy and ice your ankle as much as you can. Hope it turns around soon.

  • I haven't checked in with HLG for a while, but DH and I have been pretty good about staying on track With our healthy eating. So, I decided to order a heart shaped pizza for dinner last night. Super dorky, I know. I didn't even eat THAT much pizza, but after I did I felt gross the rest of the night. Ugh! Somehow though, it didn't stop me from eating the leftover pizza for breakfast this morning. I shoul have just thrown it out last night cause when I have junk food in the house, I can't resist it.
