I can't figure out what DH got me for Valentines day

Even though we agreed not to get presents. He made a big show of leaving today at the 'appointed time' to get me a surprise. He's not doing a reveal though. Instead he's looking at me expectantly waiting for me to find it. Were off work now (swing shift) and I still don't know WTH it is. My best guess is its new tires on my car. Does he really think I'll notice that? It's a sweet and practical gesture since money is tight, but it's going to be lame if I have to outright ask him. I'm waiting for him to be distracted so I can do that thing where you put a penny in the tread of your tires. Hopefully that will tell me if they are new. Pointless post

This is how DH proposed.  He kept hiding the ring hoping I would find it, but he eventually had to tell me to look somewhere.  It was far from romantic.  Good thing I'm not the romantic type.

When I got out of the shower last night there were flowers and a new hair dryer on the bed. My dryer broke two weeks ago and iv been hating it because I diddnt want to spend the money on a new one, but I can't stand going to bed with wet hair. So it was a very nice gesture. I have no idea why he kept looking at me like that last night, I was sure I was missing a clue somewhere. He said he made up the thing about having to go get the gift at an appointed time so I wouldn't think he was a slacker. Lol, men are so weird. I'm just glad he gave me the gift before I ended up in the driveway with a flashlight trying to figure out if I had new tires.
