Today considered a "public holiday"?

I need to get some blood work done tomorrow and every C P L # I've called just beeps and hangs up.  I've tried 3 different locations.  Their website says they are closed on "public holidays."  I figured those were holidays that the city had or something, but maybe not?  I don't know anyone that has today off.  I just wanted to know if I could eat breakfast first, jeez.

Well the fact that I initially read the title of this as "pubic" holiday is all the funnier, now.

weird that they're not picking up. if your blood work orders don't say specifically to fast, i think you're ok eating breakfast first. usually, they will ask if you are fasting just to take note on your labs.

Thanks, but nevermind.  It was just my stupid phone not making calls.  FB updates are coming through, but no calls coming in or out?!  Stupid phone.
