I teach child development and I just bought two brand new car seats for our two new electronic babies that the students care for as part of the class.
I require them to put the baby in the car seat but they don't need the bases and I don't want to store them.
Does anyone know if there is anyone/anywhere that would want the bases? They are brand new/never touched (of course they would have to be willing to take a strangers word for it which of course they might not want to)
Just thought I would check around to see if anyone knows of a good home for them rather than just tossing them in the garbabge. I'd also be happy to mail them to anyone if they were willing to cover shipping.
(I'm also going to check with our school social worker to see if any of our pregnant students might be able to benfit from them)
Thanks!
Here is a link to the car seats. I'm assuming the bases will only work with this exact model.
Re: donating never used Evenflo car seat bases?
I used to work for a major hospital network in Texas, and they had programs to give away free seats and bases to low income families. Maybe one of your local hospitals has a similar program?
Also, call your local fire dept. Ours also gives away free seats to anyone who calls and says they can't afford one.
Definitely don't throw them out!
I donated E's stuff to a local group called "Nurses for Newborns"
- maybe there is a similar group in your area?
