Cloth Diapering

Would this just be crazy?

I bought 4 of the Flip diapers in Noodle because I couldn't pass up such a good deal.  The only problem is I hate the color.  It's so boring.  I know it doesn't really matter, but you know....

So, I was thinking that I might try to dye one of them and see how it goes.  I figure the worst that could happen is that I end up with a funky, ugly diaper.  Do you think this will work?  Do you have a dye that you would reccomend?

Re: Would this just be crazy?

  • Just be careful that you do not get the water too hot.  My friend did that and totally delaminated several of her diapers trying to dye them.  I have no clue what dye you could use, so no help there....  sorry!  good luck!

ps-  I didn't buy any of those even though the price is so good because the color is so ugly...  I feel your pain!

  • I really liked the other color, but I'm pretty sure DH would side eye me for getting a girly color.

  • Unrelated...but I have not heard of Noodle. What is it? (I'm assuming some sort of deal website...what is the link?)

Noodle is the name of a light yellow color that BG and Flip covers are made in. I actually don't mind it at all, and I bought two noodle colored Flip covers last week.

    Mommy to N (3), J (2), and C (10 months). LO4 is due in mid-September.
  • LOL, I guess we're both crazy b/c I was thinking the same thing!  DH actually mentioned trying to dye our "sweet" BGs and now we have the noodle flips, too.  We've used Rit dye before to color my kickboxing wraps.  I'm curious...  Let us know if you try it!
