Thoes of you who did IVF cost Sharing program?
We did a cost sharing program with our fertility clinic. Since we will now get a refund of about $13,000 does anyone know if I have to claim this on my taxes as earned income? Just trying to find out and wasn't even sure what board would be appropriate. I was thinking maybe someone here might have gone through this. TIA!

I didn't participate in one of these programs, but I wouldn't think it would be claimed as income. If you paid in $13k and $13 is being refunded, it's not income. If you paid 10 and you're getting 13 back (which I doubt is the case) then it would be considered some sort of income.
I can't imagine it's treated any differently than any purchase where a refund is provided. It was your money.
Now.. if it crossed over years, and you claimed a medical expense deduction in a prior year for $13k and now it's been refunded, that may be a different case. And if so, I'd ask a CPA.
