sharp pain...

I am having sharp pains in upper right side of my back.  It's fright behind my ribs.  Any ideas?  I called my doctors office and I'm waiting for a phone call back.  It gets to the point where it takes my breathe away.

At 19 weeks I don't think its possible for that to be baby kicking... At 35 I can't feel her anywhere but in the front.

That area of your back can be kidney or gall bladder related. I had something similar, but a but lower in my right side - I was shaking and throwing up from the pain. Ended up being severe constipation...

It sounds to me like a gall stone clogging up a duct.  I had very similar symptoms a few months ago.  It resolved on it's own, if that's what it is it usually does.  Lay down untill you can see the Dr and try to relax.
