I am still in research mode but we are looking to make the easiest transition we an to cd.
I am thinking AIO's (by elementals) and grovia and flip shells for on the go.
Thoughts? Any drawbacks to using aIO's vs pockets or other styles? Are they absorbent enough for overnights? So many options!! TIA

Re: AIO's at home & shells to go?
If you haven't already checked it out, there is an FAQ on the home page of this board, it has tons of great information to start with. Most likely you would have to use a doubler with your aio for overnight, but it depends on whether your child is a heavy wetter or not. I prefer pockets for overnight so I can adjust the absorbency to what I want.
AIO with velcro are the closest to disposables. If you don't mind stuffing - Pockets with velcro are second - just stuff them all when they come out of the laundry.
Why do you want to use different diapers for on the go? Are your worried about space in your diaper bag? Do you want to use disposable inserts? In my opinion disposable inserts are not all that they are cracked up to be. I had nothing but problems with my flips disposable inserts
