I've been CD my 8 month old since she was 1 month old. I told DH that I needed to try it since nothing would contain her poo and she poo'd a lot (like 10 times a day). He wanted nothing to do with them and said if I stayed with it fine, but he didn't want to do it.
Fine. He uses disposibles. I use cloth. I usually put LO in a disposible before I leave for work (or else DH will throw the diaper in the normal laundry or a variety of other places). Today before work she was napping in her BG 4.0 with a flushable liner and I wasn't going to wake her to change her. I told DH to just leave it in the bathroom when he changed her and I would take care of it. Well, she pooped as soon as she woke up and he went to change her and he was an aw of the liner. He picked it up, flushed it and was done.
He told me for 15 minutes over dinner that a)who ever invented the flushable liner should win an award. b)we need to invest stocks into who ever invented the flushable liner and c)we could just use a disposible wipe to save money (NONONO!LOL).
Anyway, he is so impressed I might actually get him to snap on a cloth diaper on LO one of these days.
Re: DH might FINALLY be on board!
Thats awesome! It took a while to get my DH on board. I would prefer to have all snaps, but DH doesnt like them and prefers Aplix. He understands this may mean some replacement, but he is ok with that. He also is not a fan of cloth wipes. Again, I can deal with that.
He has never put them in the washer or stuffed, but last week for the first time he totally did the dunk and swish in the toilet. He gave me the go ahead to get a sprayer
When we started he said I would have to change all the diapers, so we have come eons from where we started!
