Intro - DS turns one tomorrow

Hi ladies - I officially belong here as of tomorrow...

So of course, why not start off with a question?

Do you guys have any tips for weaning off a bottle? We have started the transition to whole milk (as of a couple weeks ago) but now I need advice on how to get rid of the bottles. Currently, DS has 3 bottles a day - morning, mid-day, right before bed. Technically is mid-day bottle is actually given in a sippy cup. So I think we are okay on that one. I'm just wondering the easiest way to cut out the other two?

Re: Intro - DS turns one tomorrow

  • We quit cold turkey. I was going to leave the bedtime bottle but the first night he acted like he didn't want it. So we packed them all away. I do give hime a couple ozs of milk before bed in a sippy then brush his teeth and he goes to sleep. If he is already drinking milk from a sippy at lunch then just try and replace the morning one with a sippy too.
