Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Using a pillow?

Does your child use a pillow in their crib?  From what I read the recommendation is not until they are 2 years old.  But I have a hard time thinking that my toddler, who can run around, would be unsafe with one, but who knows.  She uses a blanket in bed.

  • My does not, but I have heard of people buying an infant pillow and tucking it between the mattress and crib sheet so that it doesn't move.

  • My LO started sleeping with a big pillow pet at around 15 months.... She moved into her big girl bed with 3 pillows and a regular bed set of blankets and sheets a month before she turned 2... So to each their own!

I never thought of this - good idea!

We put a pillow in for DS at naps and sometimes at the beginning of the night, but I take it out.  He likes to snuggle up - but I'm worried a regular pillow is too big - I haven't been able to find an infant pillow - where can you get one?
