If you've been to all the Disney Parks

H & I don't plan to take the kids until they are much older, because it will be an expensive trip for us. I haven't been to Disney in forever, so I haven't been to Animal Kingdom, but I think DS would just love it. DH has never been to Disney and doesn't understand why I want to go.

So which park is your favorite? And feel free to respond with why! Smile

Re: If you've been to all the Disney Parks

  • Epcot is my favorite! It has absolutely everything. Rides, food, entertainment. There is enough for everyone, but it's not as overwhelming as Magic Kingdom.

Animal Kingdom is awesome, but more of a park that only takes up about 1/2 the day. Expedition Everest is one of the best rides ever!!

  • I liked Epcot, but IMO it is not somewhere I'd go with young kids.  Not enough stuff for them.  I think it is more adult/older kid focused.

  • I love all the parks equally. One peice of advice I will give though for Animal Kingdom is that if you can go when it's cooler. All the parks get hot but Animal Kingdom is sweltering! not sure if it's because of the size (it is the smallest park) or what. I love LOVE the safari ride though and they have a lot of really great things for kids to do. Epcot is also really great. Both parks have activities more than the traditional rides and "theme park" experience of the studios and magic kingdom.

out of all the diffrent parks in orlando though I live sea world the most.

  • Bummer. I clicked on "non Disney park" thinking it said "other Disney park".  I was thinking Disneyland in my head.

But if we are talking strictly WDW, then EPCOT Center wins hands down for me. Figment, Soarin', Food and Wine Festival, the pavilions, Le cellier.... I love it all!

  • EPCOT was my favorite, but we went as adults.  My husband went as a child and said that he hated EPCOT as a kid - it's probably the most "boring" for a kid.  I think children would probably like Magic Kingdom the best.   Animal Kingdom was my second favorite.

One thing to remember when visiting that we didn't know the first day was that you can take in food!  We just assumed you couldn't and spent a small fortune on food the first day.  Peanut butter sandwhiches in your bag will save you a TON of money!

Edit:  I just asked my DH his opinion and he said LOVED MGM the most as a kid.  As an adult he said it was a tie between MGM and EPCOT.

  • It's been a while since I've been, but I liked Epcot the best.  I liked how interactive things were.  This could just be the engineer in me, though.

I liked Magic Kingdom, but it seemed a little over the top for me, but I guess that's what Disney is.

  • My personal favorite is Animal Kingdom, but I'm big into animals. I go to the zoo everywhere we travel. You do get through it quickly, so we go as soon as it opens and either plan on riding Everest at least ten times (this would be if we didn't have LO) or we buy a park hopper and go to Magic Kingdom for the second half of the day (and also go there an entire day during the same trip).

Epcot is pretty boring except for the food. People like to "drink around the world", but that's not exactly a kid activity. Hollywood Studios is okay. I love Rockin Rollercoaster (not LO friendly) and Toy Story. I love Magic Kingdom, but don't plan on going there until they are done remodeling. They are about to start adding a bunch of new things, so I'd rather wait until they were done with that.
