I read that it was not necessary to use baby detergent for most babies. What to Expect in the 1st year said to test your regular detergent on one outfit and see if the baby reacts. Does anyone use their regular detergent to wash baby clothes?
Yep. Neither one of our kids have had any kind of reaction to any detergent we've used and we've used many different brands. Right now we're using the Ecos stuff.

I'm using Dreft right now because a friend gave me a HUMONGOUS container of it! After that, we'll see. DS seems to have sensitive skin. He has baby acne and right now he has a heat rash.. so I may stick with the Dreft.
I was actually just going to post something about this. I use the All Free and Clear for our clothes and I was wondering if this would work for DS's also. Truthfully, I don't like the smell of Dreft because I am super sensitive to smells and it seems to have a lot of perfume.
We did, she started to get a bit of eczema after a few months so we switched to tide free but it didn't really make a difference so I don't think it's the soap that was causing it. We wash her clothes with ours.
