This Kid's Gonna Break My Nose!

Any one else's toddler keep headbuttig them in the face? Any idea how to stop it? I tell him it hurts and ask for kisses but I don't know how to teach him  not to throw his head. Help!

My nose is still swollen from DS headbutting me 2 days ago so no advice here, just sympathy!

Liam broke mine over the summer in a round of airplane that went very wrong. I think that like biting and hitting, the headbutting phase resolves itself through re-enforcement. Good luck!

Both of mine like to headbutt me when I go in for a kiss. A broken nose or a fat lip are inevitable.

DD does this to me frequently when we are reading together.  She'll be sitting on my lap and I'll lean forward to point to something and she'll whap her head backward into my nose.  Ouch!  I have no idea how to stop it.  I tell her to be gentle and that she gave Mommy an owie.  It hasn't really helped much.
