Anyone have a recommendation for a video monitor with two cameras but one base Unit? I would like to monitor DS #1 and #2 but only have to keep up with one base unit and switch the picture feed back and forth.
My sister uses her summer video monitor with both her girls. She just bought a second camera and has each of them on a different frequency (a/b). Works fine for her.
I think you can buy an extra camera for any of the summer monitors. I know you could with the one I have, although they stopped making that one. I had the night and day one with the small handheld monitor. Here is a link to one that specifically is for two rooms.
I just ordered this one by Motorola in the 2.8 inch size, it's got pretty solid reviews on Amazon but I cant vouch for it personally yet since it isn't here yet but I know you can put up to 4 cameras on it with just one parent monitoring unit. I went back and forth between this one and the Summer Infant ones and ultimatly went with this one because the Summer Infant ones had a lot of people saying it died completely after 1 or 1 1/2 years and since we need to use it thru 2 more kids hopefully I dont want to spend another 200 bucks in a year from now.
We use the Lorex system. It works on a different frequency than most other monitors so there is no chance that your neighbors can tune in, or you will see your neighbor's baby. We love it.

We recently got the summer infant baby touch. You can add a second camera, although we haven't done that yet. So far we really like the monitor using one camera.

I have this. We have a second camera so we can move it around the house. I have tried it with both on. You can watch either camera or have it flip between camera every like 8 secs automatically. It seemed to work well.

I have the 3.5 inch version of this and will be buying an additional camera for DS2. I love it. Like numeria, my decision came down to the Amazon reviews. The Motorola is $$ but has pan/tilt/zoom, a huge screen, excellent night vision, etc. You can talk to your LO through the mic and even turn on music. I really have zero complaints so far. I believe when you buy additional cameras, it cycles through them every 4 seconds or so.
We have a Lorex. It came with two cameras and you can purchase two more, all connecting to the same base. We've had it for nearly a year and been very happy with it.
