Mastisis?

I only nursed for a week, and my milk had just about dried up (bern about a week) but now my boobs are killing me again and have hard spots, they're also leaking for the first time. Could this be mastisis?

Sounds like clogged ducts. You want to clear the clogs so they don't get infected and turn into mastitis. Massage the spots while in the shower or apply a warm moist compress for 20 min and massage and hand express until the clogs clear. If you get engorged again, hand express just enough to relieve the discomfort. Putting cold cabbage leaves in your bra will help dry you up.
Symptoms of mastitis can include: fever, flu symptoms, red streaks on breast, red spot where clog is and it feels hot to the touch. Kellymom.com has more info.

I agree with PP.  When I had mastitis I had the chills, shivers, all over body ache and a fever of 103.  Take care of yourself because mastitis sucks!

Thank you for the replies, that sounds like it could be it, hopefully I can fix it before it becomes mastisis

You'll know if you have mastisis.  It hits you like a truck.

Do you have a fever? I had mastisis and I had a fever of 101. If you don't have the fever it is probably clogged ducts. Good luck anything to do with boobies is painful!
