Ok, I'm not a Santorum fan AT ALL but he said on the Today show this morning that he meant he thought men wouldn't be able to handle their emotions.  In other words, men would want to protect the women in combat and prioritize that over the mission.

I'm still going to call back peddling, but I thought I'd share.

He is the king of back peddling. It's next to impossible to find a single statement he's made without finding a follow up to "clarify" himself. But one thing is abundantly clear, he's a bag of douche.
