Mind if I whine for a second?

Daycares throughout the province are on strike today.

My mom called me yesterday and asked if I'd like her to come over to help out with the girls. While I don't really need it, the help sure is nice, not to mention the adult interaction And since the hubs didn't get home til 9:30 last night (work thing) and then is going to be out again tonight (D&D), I was very eager to take her up on her offer.

Then she said "Oh wait your dad wants to come too, so we need to make that Saturday instead of Friday".

Errrr thanks mom. Now instead of having a chill day with you, I have to get my house ready to have you and dad over for lunch tomorrow. And since I've been complaining about my parents not visiting us (they live a little over 2 hours away and somehow we're always the ones driving out to see them), I can't exactly tell them not to come.

So there's my whine. Feel free to flame me for being such a Whiney Mc Whinerson

Your "help" turned into extra work. Wtf, mom?

I hope they have a nice visit anyway.  Maybe you can snag a movie with DH while your parents watch the petites?

Yup, I give my mom a big WTF on that one. 

And as much as I,d like to go on a date with the hubs, my parents will only be here for the afternoon, so I wouldn't feel right asking them to babysit. Plus DD2 doesn't do so good with the bottle (read: she won't take one), so that also complicates things.

It's all good though. I just needed to whine a little Thanks for listening
