But the one in UO calling more than half of the women here "stupid" for making an informed decision for their child's (and their) safety isn't sitting well with me.
I come here and enjoy you ladies very much. I love heated topics, funny ones, whatever. We can all disagree, but respectfully. And I love you all for it.
So, to the b!tch who decided to ruin that and "name call" rather than give her opinion: you can take your ignorant comments elsewhere.
Disclaimer: I would feel this way despite any badge that I have. I would never call someone who got an epidural, or otherwise, stupid. That was your choice for your body. I expect the same respect for me and everyone else
Re: I never get upset about posts...
I agree. Your choice to go natural is not stupid to me at all. Hopefully the poster realizes the error she made using that word to describe how she feels about what someone else does with their body.
*I don't hate you for having badges, just the badges in general.
I'm pretty sure she's talking about Oually, I get what you were saying.
"I have to run out and get a muthaf'ing sleep sheep and a BLW book because I heard about it on TB!"
Yeah, that was unfortunate.
Whit, here's the thing. It's a UO post. If she wants to call people stupid, that's her UO... that women who went natural are stupid. So be it. That's definitely an unpopular opinion.
It definitely was more spirited in there than usual. That makes me happy.
It doesn't make me happy that we've got to call people stupid, but at least someone put on her flame-retardant suit and called a spade a spade IHO (in her opinion).
Well it wasn't Flame-Free, so I flamed! I don't mind heated, but that was uncalled for. Oh well.
No, crash I wasn't talking about you.
Cobra, hating badges is stupid
Zomgggg!!! I'm so offended!!!!
::writes down idea for "I hate badges badge"::
Sorry, I didn't mean to criticize you for flaming... just sayin' I kinda like the mild dramz occasionally. And, if there ever was a post to start that kind of stuff, UO was it!!
Absolutely agree with you. Flame on!!
I never felt my plan to go natural (or my sucessfully doing so) was"stupid."
Oddly enough though, I often have a lot of guilt over my hassle-free natural birth, especially since I know a lot of women who got induced and were miserable, or had a prolonged labor, or had to get emergency c-section, or had recovery issues. Sure, natural birth was uncomfortable at times, but it was something I was able to do, and something I wanted to do. When I hear other women's horribly traumatic birth stories I feel awful that I had no complications and they had to go through so much.
The choices I made surrounding how long to labor at home, medical interventions, drugs, positions, etc may or may not have contributed to my relative ease. I'll never know. Every birth is completely differnt.
