We keep getting things in for DMC and part of me wants to jump on it and other parts of me isn't really sure if it's worth it. What are your thoughts on this...do any of you do this? Thanks
I do it. It's ok. The intial deal is of course great, but after that...meh. My big issue is that they mostly sell the bluray/dvd combos, so they cost more. I just want one or the other which I can almost always buy on sale cheaper. Now, once you fullfill your membership you typically get buy 1 get 60% off the rest of your order. So it's not bad at say Christmas when you want to order a handful, but just to get one movie at a time its nothing special.

It is definitely like BMG or Columbia House. I just joined though. I got 6 Disney blurays for $12.99 total. I have to buy 3 more at regular price. Even on Overstock they are still around $30/piece and they are even more expensive in most stores. I think it is a good deal.
I like it for the fact that you can buy hard to find DVDs plus you get the 5 movies for $1 deal at the beginning.
Lion King is very hard to find. I found it used on Amazon for around $12 I think. I can buy it new on DMC for $20. But I also take the fact that it is new into consideration and the good deal I got in the beginning which saves you over $100.
If you shop smart and grab the best deals when available it is definitely worth it.

Lion King was just re-released recently. Target has the Diamond Edition (Blue Ray + DVD for $19.99) It's available in every store now.
Columbia Club was awesome in the 80's and 90's. Tape a penny to the mail-in offer and get 12 CD's or cassettes (80s).
I joined, mostly for DVD's of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the other "preschool" shows. We don't have cable, but DS loves Mickey, and this is really the only place you can buy their shows on DVD. Anyway, the DVDs for their shows are very reasonable, and if you get the new releases when they are a featured selection, it's usually a pretty good deal.
And you have like two years to buy 5 movies I think, so I don't think it's terrible.
Oh, and you can buy Golden Girls on DVD through them, so that's awesome!
