"Oil cleansing method"

For washing your face.

Or something.

I've been reading on almost every board on TB and TN about this.  Is it new or Bump-new? Is it an actual thing or is it a Bump-thing? Or did a bunch of people suddenly post it on Pinterest and now it's on everyone's radar?

LMK.

Re: "Oil cleansing method"

  • I did this for about 2 years, it's pretty great.

  • I do this and it's just something I found when I was googling for some way to wash my face without irritating it.

    I love it.

  • It's a real thing (not just a TB/TN thing), I know people that have done it for awhile and I think my aunt did it years ago.

  •  I heard about it from my DD's friend's mom. Then I read about it on the nest.

I've been using this method for about 2 weeks and I'm really impressed.

  • Hmm, I might have to try this.

  • I do this with coconut oil. It works great for me. I also put it on DS's face when it gets dry. It's very mild & I love it!!
  • Just a word of warning here, if you wear contacts make sure you take them out before you clean your face w/ oil unless you are skipping your eye area.  I don't mind doing it but I couldn't do it w/ my contacts in because no matter how well I kept my eyes shut it seemed to seep in and fog up my lenses.  I also find that it makes my mascara run the next day unless I use something else to wash my face in the morning.
