I hate Dh profession right now. He is a investigator

For the medical examiner and just picked up a 2 month old that was co sleeping. It breaks my heart.

DH does not even like me to nurse her in bed for fear that I will fall asleep. I love cuddling up with her though.

Sounds like you mean bedsharing...co-sleeping is when LO is in a bassinet or something out of the bed.  Either way, yes, that is sad.

Were the parents using drugs or alcohol? Overwhelming bed sharing accidents involve the substance use/abuse of some kind. DH and I started bedsharing on day three and I have to say that baby sleeps better and longer as a result. While we never thought we would - we love it too. It feels incredibly natural. Baby naps in her RnP so that she gains some independence with sleeping.

There are safe ways to bed share. Even if the parents were bed sharing safely who's to say that the child wouldn't have passed away had he been in his crib?

That is very sad for the family though, I can't even imagine.

No substance abuse baby was ebf woke up under moms breast, I could not even imagine. Dh had 8 bedshare deaths last year. It is so scary.

Bed-sharing can be safe and a good choice for families, incredibly sad for this family going through it, but doesn't mean bed-sharing is a death sentence.

ugh yeah I am currently bed sharing as it's the ONLY way I get any sleep right now, and what little sleep I do get it's an hour here and an hour there. I'm scared to even do it, but I also can't live without SOME sleep. =(
