i havent been around much the past month (crazy busy at work) so forgive me if this has been discussed.
what say you bumpies on the controversial Duggar pics?
My opinion: fine with me if they want to take the pics (not something i'd have done though) but i dont think they should've been distributed and esp not in the media.
Re: controversial Duggar pics- did i miss this?

You don't understand the appeal of Benedict Cumberbatch / think he's fug / don't know who he is? WATCH SHERLOCK. Until you do, your negative opinion of him will not be taken seriously.

This.
They weren't distributed to the public. They were given out at a funeral ceremony for the baby.
I can't figure out why anyone thinks they are offensive, distasteful, or disturbing. And the family is in the public. People are interested in them and therefore they will be reported on no matter what anyone thinks about it. I dont see the big deal, let them get over their loss in whatever way they need to.
originally yes, one was tweeted after the funeral. now the duggars have one posted on their website (not the tlc site).
The grieving thing is such a personal thing, I couldn't pass judgement if you paid me. I personally have no use for funerals, cemeteries, graves, prayer cards or any of that, and I resent the idea that I'm supposed to publicly cry so that people can "support me." They're not supporting "me" because *I* don't find comfort in that type of coping. I want to be left alone to place in context the loss and move on.
So if the Duggars are comforted by this, then it is right for them. I understand people sneering since they've made their atypical family situation a spectator sport and invite controversy because it keeps the ratings up. So they've kinda asked for judgement, but decent people need to separate the celebrity Duggars from the human people in this case and just let them be. (And I say this as someone who thinks their lifestyle is a sickness akin to animal hoarding.)
