The only way I know if DS is sick is that his nose is running and he has a fever. Otherwise, he's still playing and acting normal. With DH, I know he's sick because every illness puts him on his deathbed. He's a baby. In my limited experience, men are total babies when they're sick!
I voted DH. He has a cold. The sniffles. He stayed home from work yesterday (which I support because he has tons of sick leave and I believe if you're sick you should rest), but I asked him to do ONE load of laundry - and the laundry room is right in between the tv and the bathroom - and he whined and complained about it. And then didn't do it.
Meanwhile I'm unable to bend over anymore so doing laundry is pretty impossible for me these days.
It's not like I asked him to go out in the cold to the store or something. I asked him to make a pit stop on his way to the toilet to drop some pre-sorted laundry into the washing machine and press a button.
I am irrationally angry and irritated by this and I can't tell if it's normal or just pregnancy-related irritation at everything in general right now.

DH hands down!!!! last night DS puked all over himself in his crib and was playing happily in his pack'n'play while we cleaned up the mess.
two days before new year's DH was "nauseous" and literally moaned and sighed loudly throughout the night, would walk hunched over and whisper his requests for me to get him whatever he needed. he never threw up or even went to the bathroom, would refuse a tylenol and couldn't help me with the most menial childcare tasks. when i was in the shower he was moaning so loudly that i thought he was calling my name. whatever the mystery illness, it passed. I get mad at myself for feeling no sympathy, but it is hard to take his dramatics seriously.
yet when i'm throwing up and can barely stand, he asked me if i was sure DS couldn't stay home with me because he didn't want to have to walk him to daycare (20 min. walk that i usually do because daycare is by my office and not his.)
yeah, long way of saying DH, BY FAR!!!! there is a reason men don't bear children.
DH is never too sick to Warcraft, and if he is well enough for that, he is well enough to take care of his own ass.

Sick DH. Sick toddlers don't know why they're sick and they're just not feeling good.
DH can take some damn cold medicine and man the fuuuck up.
Unable to even.

I felt like giving this to DH this morning (because he wouldn't walk DD to daycare when I was already running late because he was still in bed moaning about knows what).

I voted LO, BUT DH is a HUGE baby when he's sick...
When LO is sick, though, DH always questions whether he's really sick or just being a momma's boy, and isn't always very helpful... DS is very, very clingy (only to me) when something is bothering him. If I'm not around, he acts closer to normal, so DH thinks he's putting on a show.... And then I get frustrated trying to convince DH that someting is wrong with DS!
I voted DH. He gets the typical man cold where he can't do anything for himself. DS is a little trooper and if he didn't have a bit of difficulty going to sleep and a runny nose you'd never be able to tell he was sick.
A sick H is definitely worse. DS just wants to cuddle and snooze when he's sick. H whines and thinks I'm going to wait on him hand and foot - even if I'm sick too.

Re: POLL : What's worse, a sick toddler or a sick DH?
When DH gets sick he always gets it bad. He has a high fever and chills with almost every sickness, and occasional puking.
When DD gets sick she's usually still playing around and hardly cares.
This! When he's sick he acts like a huge baby. Plus I lose someone to help me with the kids and around the house when he is sick.
With a sick toddler I at least have help.
With a sick DH I have two big babies to care for.

(Sorry... mini-vent...)
would refuse a tylenol--
That's my biggest pet peeve....if you're sick, take something, feel better and deal.
Sick, LO.
He's had 1 cold so far, and I swear he turned it into a man cold, and he's only 1. it was miserable!
H usually secludes himself in our room when he's sick...
