Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

TTC Thursday Check In

Finished up clomid on the 6th now waiting to O.  After talking with my advisor at school and with DH we have decided we are just going to keep trying until we get a baby. If AF shows up this round I will be going into a thrid Cycle of clomid with OB but will be setting up a consult with a RE.

DH scheduled a SA for next Tuesday. I don't think it is him but it is nice to rule it out.

Sooo do we have any new BFP?

  • I'll join in. Still bf, still no period, still bd'ing in hopes that it will somehow miraculously happen anyway. Bfn yesterday.

  • This is our 6th month of trying, and I'm on CD 40 now. When I spoke to my OB a couple weeks ago it didn't look promising that I was ovulating. I've been trying to gain weight to help things along and I am no longer in the underweight category so that's good. The words PCOS and Clomid were thrown around.... People always talk about nasty side effects with Clomid. What are they?

  • AF started on Monday, almost 5 weeks from my m/c so we are set to start trying again this month! I need to start charting again.

  • I'm supposed to test on saturday. we are now over a year of trying for baby number two. On the one hand because I have had no pregnancy symptoms I am half convinced Im not pregnant (well that and it has been a year lol) but I also have not had any pms symptoms either which is weird as I usually will by this point at least have some cramps or something. I keep flip flopping about testing on saturday or waiting till monday when I will officially be "late".

  • Good Luck Gracey!

Lemon- I am glad your body bounced back quickly and is ready to go.

Kg- I have had mild side effects. Night sweats and for the first time I felt cramping when I ovulated. Biggest side effect is that it increases your chances for multiples. I believe going from like 5% to 10%. The chances for anything above twins it increases by like 1%. I am doing it unmonitored right now b/c I am taking it through my OB. I would suggest RE. I am not getting much information and i feel like there could be underlying problems we are missing. That is why I will be moving to a RE next cycle. I am not sure if you have visited secondary IF board yet but the support and information there is awesome.

Thanks! I'll check it out. Although I think I'd still feel out of place and like I don't belong there after only 6 months so far. I don't even want to think about the word "infertility" because if I say it, it would almost be like I'm admitting there may be a problem I can't fix. I'd rather bury my head in the sand right now and think everything will be fine as soon as my weight stays in a healthy range. If you havn't guessed, I'm having a little trouble with this. We got pregnant immediately off the pill with DD, so this time I keep blaming myself that there HAS to be something I'm doing wrong.

I completely know what you mean. I think that is why I have not pulled the trigger with a RE yet. Even though I am on clomid I feel like with an OB it is not as serious. If I move to RE then something is wrong. Glad you are in a healthy weight range now. A lot of girls on the seconday IF and T-TTC baords really like the book The Infetility Cure. It talks about how your diet should be and more natural ways of helping your body. You may want to check it out if you are nto ready to talk clomid. My DH's cousin did IVF for 4 years. Quit and then went on a gluten free diet and was able to get pregnant on her own without meds. Within a coupl of months of the gluten free diet. Our bodies are weird

Thanks! My diet could be part of the problem. I actually am on some really nutritious gluten free shakes which make me feel fabulous, but besides that I've just been trying to stuff my face with anything I can find to help me gain weight. Don't care what it is, I eat it. I've just been so desperate to gain weight for the past year that after months of healthy eating with no weight gain I gave up and started being "bad". I'm even kinda scared to exercise because I'm afraid I'll drop down to underweight again. I need to find a happy healthy medium, but it's really not easy.

  • Nothing to report here... Temping and using OPKs.  Thought I O'ed on Tuesday, which would've given us a shot (DH went out of town on Sunday but we had sex before he left)... According to my temps, though, I may not have O'ed yet, which would pretty much put us out of the running for this cycle.

  • I am 15 DPO, have taken multiple tests, the last being yesterday, and all were negative.  But still no AF (which was due today), so I guess I will see what happens today and maybe test again tomorrow morning.  I am having no cramps or other PMS, but all the BFNs make me feel like I'm just grasping at straws, if you know what I mean.  Also, I'm using Wondfo tests, so I'm wondering if I should go get some digital ones after work toady.  I would gladly take any advice, if anyone has any!

    Good luck to everyone!

I use wondfo Ovulation but I always have a set of digital Clearblue tests on hand too as a back up.
