So I put the pregnancy tests underneath a heart shaped box of peanut butter cups that I had bought him for Valentine's day. He picked up the candy and was like "oh awesome." and walked away! So I said, wait you didn't see the other part of your gift. He came back and I literally pointed at the tests. He just looked at me and said, "are these mini-peanut butter cups?" I said, "Seriously? Do you not know what these are?" So finally I picked them up and put them in his face. He said, "bullsh!t." Me: "Nope." Him: "Bullsh!t." Me: "Um, I distinctly remember you saying how your sperm was awesome and you probably got me pregnant even if you pulled out. And you did. So thanks!"
Finally he gave me a hug. I started to cry and say I wasn't sure about the timing. But he was really comforting and said, "no no no, this is perfect! That means all baby stuff will be done and over with in four years! And I get my cute little pregnant Jill back!" And he did a little happy dance.
So he was great about it! Makes me feel a little better
And that's the same thing we keep telling ourselves about having 2u2 - that all the newborn sleepness nights and diapers and whatnot will be over sooner rather than later.
Plus - hopefully they will be close and enjoy growing up together, enjoy the same things, etc.
