ok, thanks! I guess I was worried about how it'd affect his stomach. He'll probably only have a few bites like he does with most meats anyway, so it will probably be fine.
Yep, quite a few different kinds. I always cut them up into reasonable bites and if it has a tough casing I will peel it off. He's had ground sausage in a few different recipes too.
She's tried it once or twice and ate it just fine. But it's not something I plan on giving her regularly at all. It's typically high in salt and is usually really low grade meat ground up. There's no nutritional value at all.
Re: Have you given LO sausage?
DC gave him some as a sausage biscuit ..they break it into bits that he can chew though. they said he did great with it.

I've given him turkey sausage (cut up into really small pieces).
I've even given him hot dog (cut into slices, then those slices cup up in halves)
I don't see why you can't give him pork sausage. At this point I'm not really worried about any foods with DS. He's had pretty much everything we eat.
I've given DS sausage patties, but not sausage links.
As to pork, we were at La Madeline's the other day and DS loved their new balsamic pork tenderloin. He's also a huge fan of carnitas.
