Now I'm not a huge fan of the show, I don't watch it very often. I think the Duggars seem like excellent people and loving parents, although I feel that it's irresponsible for them to continue having children. But I start crying everytime I watch the preview for the new season because it shows clips from when they find out they lost their most recent baby. I can't imagine that kind of pain or disappointment, especially losing the baby almost half way through. Whether I agree with their lifestyle or not, no parent should have to ever have to experience that.

Re: New season of 19 kids and Counting preview
I feel terrible for her, because I'm sure it's devastating no matter how many kids you have.
But OMG... I watch a lot of TLC and have already seen that commercial 20 times, and I'm not sure I can handle much more. I watch things like "Say Yes to the Dress" as a mindless escape, it's hard to be reminded of babies dying at every.single.commercial.break.
Maybe it's a sign that I should watch less TV, lol.
I think that family is awful and I don't feel bad for her, it is extremely irresponsible to have that many children, not only because there is no way you could give each child the personal attention that they deserve, but also b/c she is risking lives (hers and baby's) with each pregnancy. Shame on her
I actually have and it was extremely beyond devastating. but, i'm not trying to have 20 children, or even 10. It is extremely sad for the loss of life of the child, but I do not feel sad for her because at that point it's just plain irresponsible.
I am very sorry for your loss....I just can't imagine that someone who has had that experience doesn't feel bad for her. No matter what choices people make, no one deserves that. Plus, they feel a conviction that the Lord will prevent them from having children when the time is right. Are you really going to judge them for that? They have 19 beautiful and healthy children that have had a wonderful upbringing, they should be praised for their parenting, not trashed. I teach in a public school and you should see the way some parents treated their kids like trash. I wish there were more parents out there like the Duggars.
I don't plan on having 20 kids either, but I'm certainly not going to condemn their choice as long as they are good parents.
