how bad is this idea?

My 10 wk old keeps waking herself up lately, almost like she is having "falling dreams". So I was thinking that MAYBE if I made the crib more comfortable that she might sleep better. So I was thinking about putting her sheepskin UNDER the mattress cover. I know it's a SIDS risk, but it sounds so comfy.

bad idea...right...

  • I've had a lot of luck with the swadle at night.

  • we stopped swaddling at 4 weeks. She would "incredible hulk" her way out of them.

  • Was she wriggling out of a blanket or a sleep sack or both? We found our boy stays in the sleep sack a lot better. I sometimes redo the velcro on the sack because he's loosened it but he's usually sleepy enough that it doesn't matter.

  • My LO does the same "falling" things... I put her in her RNP to sleep and (yes I know this is a SIDS risk, but its the only thing that works) I wrap her in a soft blanket. Since she sits up some to sleep she cant roll over so I fan it out around her face so there is no possible way for her to suffocate and she sleeps great!

  • DD broke the swaddle early too so we got a Miracle Blanket and loved it.  There's no breaking out of those things!
