I'll be flying with them in March with DH and DD. Their website says that they charge to check a pack and play. We aren't taking a carseat or stroller (which they let you check for free). Does anyone have any experience with them allowing pack and plays for free? Other airlines check them for free...so I was sad to find about the charge.
Re: Has anyone flown on Frontier Airlines?
I've never heard of any airline checking a pack'n'play for free. In the past, I've purchased a cheap pack'n'play at my destination and shipped it home. I have now purchased a portable crib like this (link) that will fit in my luggage.
I have flown Frontier with and without kids, and my experiences have been positive. But I don't think I'd bank on them bending the rules for you.
I don't know of any airline that checks pack n plays for free. We bought a cheap one from amazon and had it shipped it to our destination. We then shipped it home. At hotels, we just use their pack n plays and bring our own sheet.
I've flown Frontier though and they're good.
