It saves a ton of money and it's so easy. All you do is bake or steam veggies, put the in the blender, and add some water to get it to the consistancy you want the food. Put them in ice cube trays and cover. Once they are frozen, put them in ziplock bags and label them. To defrost, put a cube in the microwave for about 35 sec.
It's so simple and once your dc is around 9 months, you save A TON of money.
I JUST started Colten on solids Monday and he eats 1 cube. Yesterday, I was tempted to thaw another one but I thought it would be to much for him right now. So that being said, I think by 6 maybe 7 months he will be eating 2 cubes.

Oh, and they have a book at BRU that has hundreds of recipes for about $15. I got mine at half price books though.
